Bob Marquis teaches Filmmaking to juniors and seniors at Metro Tech High School in Phoenix, Arizona. He has taught students how to make
effective PSAs and short films that raise awareness about programs offered at his school. Marquis is also involved in the local arts community, volunteering as the Educational Outreach Director for the Phoenix Film Festival and IFP Phoenix, and as the Executive Director of the youth-focused non-profit, Sailbear Labs.

Bob is an innovative, flexible and attentive educator whose path has allowed him to experience innumerable creative ways to mentor and teach others. Not only young people, but older ones, like me...his patience and kindness know no bounds. He certainly deserves this award!

Best Class i've ever experienced in my 16 years of life (: I wake up everyday excited to learn something new & let my mind run wild, with no limits and no judgement ^__^ i love this class ! i really hope he wins. Marquis is Awesome ! (:
